In 1862, missionary sisters transformed The Minimes Convent in Provence, France into a place of care. They enriched the convent's legacy of plant studies by applying their knowledge of nature to create remedies for the residents of the convent. Inspired by this history, each product from Le Couvent Des Minimes is touched by this tradition with age-old recipes, selection of the finest natural ingredient and ancestral know-how to combine pleasure with remedy.

BLOOM

I recently went shopping for winter plants. I had forgotten this is the season to get roses. The poor little plants with only three branches to their name...hoping those few branches will be enough to issue their many blooms. What is ever more pitiful is the roses "in the back." Sign... These plants were forgotten all year it seems, never once getting re-potted or talked to. Their twisted branches are entangled together in a thorny mass. The hybrid tea rose, bred for those velvety petals and luxurious fragrance are humbled among the rebellious climbing roses - cast aside, forgotten and unkempt...and drastically marked down in price! With a true clipper these once majestic rose plants will BLOOM AGAIN...I am sure of it!!!

IN YOUR WINTERTIME

Good winter to you all!!! For a while there it did not seem as though winter was ever going to get here. But the mornings are crisp and the evenings jacket worthy. I LOVE WINTER!!! The mittens, the scarves, the hot cocoa, the icicles...ICICLES!!! Even though we do not get too many here! I honestly believe everyone has a little bit of grizzly in their blood when it winter time. It seems as though "stocking up on food" is the norm. Whether it is turkey and ham or cinnamon rolls and breads. Food just tastes better in the winter. You never hear of someone making a fruit cake in the summer...its bad enough in the winter! Such a lovely feeling to light candle and put on your slippers!

PENS & PENCILS

I so desperately love a blank sheet of paper. Calling to me in the night, calling for release. To look at it's blank soul, transforming it into an outpouring of my own. The pens and pencils sleep until their master stirs their awakening. Making each one dance across the page. Running and crawling across the page. Combining thoughts and ideas into a written page worthy of someone's eyes. I hear the paper's song so very faint on the breeze..."At last...my love has come along. My lonely days are over."
